Entrance, Vedanta Society of Sacramento

1337 Mission Avenue
Carmichael, CA

This is what you see on first entering the grounds. The window belongs to the 3,500 volume library. The doorway on the right leads to the arcade, monastery, auditorium, assembly room, and bookstore.

The Vedanta Society of Sacramento is located on about 8 acres of lightly wooded land near Sacramento. In addition to the temple, bookstore, library and monastery, we have several acres of gardens that we call the Santodyan (Garden of saints).

The garden is graced with lily and lotus ponds, and statues of some of the world’s most beloved saints. We invite you to take a virtual tour of our center on this web site, and to come in person for a walk in the real garden and facilities, where scattered benches and a shaded arcade invite quiet contemplation.

The compound is open 365 days a year from 6 am until 8:30 pm or dusk, whichever comes first.
